Hello again! We have stated one of the major points in our project this week! We got the tshirts out and started making the dog toys!!! They look pretty good and they are actually pretty durable. We tested them by pulling on them and seeing if we can get the knots out to see if they would hold up. We did this to make sure that they are the best that they can be for these dogs! We made braids, rings, and rings with tassels! We plan on making more and giving them to the shelters soon! I am sooooooo excited to see how all of it turns out and see if the dogs like them! I feel like we have hit a major point in the project and I am so excited to see what the rest of the project has in store for us!

Hello! This week has been pretty slow. Due to us all being so busy we havnt been able to accomplish much. We have been gathering clothing items to make the toys. The biggest thing that we have accomplished this week was preparing our and executing our elevator pitch. The elevator pitch includes our project goals, what we are trying to get across with the project, and what we have been doing throughout the project. This is a thirty second speech that we have to present infront of the class. We should be starting to make toys out of the t-shirts next week.
Hi! We have done a lot since our last post! We are getting so close to making the dog toys. We have also come up with the idea to make the dog toys out of old recycled pairs of jeans. This will help make the dog toys more durable because jeans are more thick than most fabrics. We are also trying to look for treat recipes that we can donate along with the toys. We have contacted another shelter to make sure they accept dog toys and/or dog treats. We have a new care sheet on rabbits posted under the care sheet folder. I also have been looking for an animal that I am especially interested in to make a care sheet on. I am so excited to share what we have next week coming up!:)
Hello and happy new year! We have really made a few big steps since last time I posted! We have came up with a few things for our new years resolutions. We will be recycling clothes to make dog toys. We will then be giving them to animal shelters. We will start looking for clothes that we can use. We will be looking for clothes in our closets, and at local stores and thrift shops. We will also try to see if we can have students at our school donate clothes to make the toys. Another new years resolution that we have is for us to find more shelters that will accept dog toy donations. So far we were only able to find one shelter that will accept dog toy donations. The other shelters that we have contacted only accpet cat toys. Another resolution is for us to make more care sheets. I will be be writing one very soon. I will need to find a pet that I am interested in and then I will have to do research on the animal to make sure I provide you the best information that could help your pet or help provide information to help you decide if you want that specific pet. Our last resolution is to draw attention to this page through our Instagram. I look forward to seeing what the new year and the resolutions will be bringing us and this project!
Hello again! This week we have gained a fair amount of followers and website clicks! We have also started making care sheets. One of the group members (Grace) has made a care sheet on hedgehogs. Make sure to check that out if you are interested! Another group member (Shelby) has also made a few new care sheets. She made a care sheet on guinea pigs and parakeets. I plan to research an animal and make my own care sheet also. We are still gaining awareness on the project. I think most of the website views are from people seeing our Instagram page. We have been posting little updates on our Instagram in hopes that we will keep gaining awareness!
Hello! This week we have taken a few big steps for this project! We are starting to branch out and advertise our websites in other places. We made an instagram and plan to make a Facebook. We posted a blog on the Instagram to tell a little bit about ourselves. We have made this Instagram to hopefully get more people to support our cause. We have already gained a few followers! We have also had an increase in views on our website! We are hoping to spread the word about our project in order to raise awareness. I look forward to next week!

I am also going to share a little about myself and the intrests I have on this project. I have 3 dogs named Jules, Winston, and Karma. I also have a cat named Jordan. I have always had a special love and passion for animals and pets ever since I was little.
